We met Jamie and Alex for their engagement photo shoot at Wisley Gardens in Surrey. We normally do wedding photography in Cambridgeshire so we were excited to be visiting the famous gardens in Surrey! Jamie and Alex wanted a unique venue for the shoot and Wisley Gardens were beautiful!
Rachel and Jamie have known each other over 10 years (they met at school!) so it was a privilege to be asked to film and photograph their wedding day!
Alex asked Jamie to marry him by the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris. The bridge is famous for couples attaching a padlock with their initials on to the side and then throwing the key into the river, representing ever lasting love for each other. They spent the evening on a beautiful river cruise before getting to the bridge – Alex is a definitely a romantic – we can’t wait for the wedding speech! Jamie, of course, said yes and we were thrilled to hear the wedding venue is Horsley Park in Surrey where we filmed Ellie and Eric’s wedding day in 2014!
Wisley Gardens Engagement Photoshoot
As with all our engagement and wedding photography, we like to have a bit of fun. Jamie and Alex were loving playing the bubbles they had brought with them. Another great spot in the gardens is the Chinese Pagoda next to the lake which beautifully frames the photographs. We also ventured into the greenhouses – which are massive and vary in temperature…we didn’t last long in there as it was so hot!
During the shoot it was clear to see how well suited Jamie and Alex are. We are very excited for the wedding day 🙂 Thank you both for having us!
