Are you looking for an exclusive use manor hotel wedding venue in Bedfordshire? We totally understand the appeal of an exclusive use wedding venue. We wouldn’t want to be worrying about disturbing other people or having another wedding party at the same venue on the same day.
Flitwick Manor – a gorgeous exclusive use wedding venue in Beds
If you’re looking for a venue in Bedfordshire, Flitwick Manor is stunning and practical too. Couples can use the hotel and marquee for their big day celebrations. Up to 150 guests can be catered for. When booking, couples can have all 18 bedrooms for the night of their wedding making it really easy for crashing out! We filmed Genette and Mike’s wedding reception at Flitwick Manor in September 2017 and the grounds were beautiful. Genette and Mike were so much fun too!
Thank you so much to Rachel and Pete for filming our wedding in September. We absolutely love our wedding films! They have captured everything perfectly! We honestly can’t thank them enough for everything they did on our wedding day and the follow up to our video. Thank you again for recording our day, it was absolutely perfect.

Bridal preparations at home
Genette and Mike wanted all the action of the day filmed, particularly the parts of the day they wouldn’t see of each other so they hired both of us to film the day. My day started filming Genette and her bridesmaids getting ready at her parent’s house. Genette’s make up was applied beautifully by Chloe and her hair styled by the team at The Avenue. Meanwhile Pete filmed Mike getting ready at his and Genette’s house with his groomsmen and page boys. Seeing both exchanging gifts and the excitement at each house really added to the final film.
When we watched the films we loved watching parts of the day we didn’t see. The morning preparations seeing our page boys messing about was so great and also other parts of the day. During the ceremony we didn’t realise he was running up and down the aisle and it made us both laugh watching it back. We are so thankful we have the video to watch these moments which we otherwise wouldn’t have seen.
We were very excited when we heard Nikki from Nikki Moments Photography was photographing the day. We had worked with Nikki previously for her vintage styled shoot at Shuttleworth House so knew we’d work well together and have lots of fun with Genette and Mike.
Wedding ceremony at St Andrew’s Church in Langford
The benefit of having two videographers is that all moments can be captured. I filmed Genette getting into her dress and having photos with her bridesmaids whilst Pete filmed Mike at the church greeting their guests. At the church we captured both Genette arriving and Mike waiting at the end of the aisle.
Before the vows, the flower girls performed the most gorgeous song and dance about being each other’s penguin – cuteness overload! During the vows and the ring exchange the thunder and rain was loud but rain didn’t stop play and Mr and Mrs Black were pronounced husband and wife for the very first time, yay! Grabbing umbrellas the guests made a dash for their cars to start the celebrations at Flitwick Manor.
Genette and Mike’s wedding reception at Flitwick Manor
The wedding reception started with some drinks on the terrace (the rain cleared nice and quickly and even the sun came out!). Guests were treated to some incredible magic by our favourite magician Lee Smith. We had met Lee many times at Engage Weddings networking events but never seen him in action at a wedding. His talent is unbelievable!
We have since seen Lee in action at the Engage Wedding Planning Party and his magic astounded us then too. How does he do it?!
After the formal photographs we filmed the details in the marquee before everyone sits down. The wedding cakes looked incredible – colour coordinated with the decor – made by the very talented Carly. At the end of the night we were offered a cupcake each too and can confirm they were delicious. The flowers by Sarah of The Flower Hut looked stunning, perfectly matching the bouquets and church flowers. The bouquets lasted all day and we love the colour combinations.
Genette and Mike performed a choreographed first dance with music performed by Highway 21. It was great fun and their guests loved it. The night finished with Genette and Mike offering us skittles vodka to celebrate their special day! Pete drove so I graciously accepted and I was quite pleasantly surprised – it was pretty tasty!
Thank you so much for having us Mr and Mrs Black. One of our favourite weddings, we are honoured you chose us to capture it for you.
Wishing you a lifetime of happiness.
