Redhouse Barn | Bex & Dan

The speeches were some of the funniest and most emotional I have ever filmed. Dan’s best man made me laugh out loud whilst I edited his speech for the full length feature film! Jon and Ruth from J Bidmead Photography did an amazing job capturing all the laughter and emotion too.

REDHOUSE BARN WEDDING VIDEO – BEX AND DAN – A SNEAK PEEK

New for 2019, included in our wedding videography service is a sneak peek film edited within 72 hours of the wedding. Whilst I edit the longer films, couples enjoy a short edited film of the day. It’s great for including some natural audio of the speeches and a few favourite clips from the day.

BRIDAL PARTY PREPARATIONS AT ABBEY HOTEL IN REDDITCH

Bex and Dan chose to follow tradition and get ready separately. Bex prepared for the ceremony with her bridesmaids and her mum at Abbey Hotel in Redditch. Their hair and make up was styled beautifully by Amelia Bourne. It was a wonderful morning with lots of laughter and fun. Bex chose her wedding dress from Wedding Belles of Four Oaks and the leaf detail looked absolutely stunning. The gorgeous flowers were supplied by Louise Rose Flowers and Events and looked fresh all day.

GROOM’S PARTY PREPARATIONS AT BROMSGROVE HOTEL AND SPA

Dan got ready with his best man and groomsmen at Bromsgrove Hotel and Spa. This footage was captured by my very talented sister in law Laura Baker Productions who is often a second videographer for us if Pete is unavailable. I always recommend a second videographer if you’re getting ready in separate locations as these are parts of the day you won’t see of each other. It’s such a special time to watch it back together. Dan and his wedding party wore smart navy suits from Moss Bros – we love the orange tie too!

WEDDING CEREMONY AT ST JOHN THE BAPTIST CHURCH IN FECKENHAM

Bex and Dan had a traditional church ceremony in Feckenham, a village close to their hearts. Covid 19 restrictions meant guests weren’t allowed to sing so Bex and Dan had a choir to bring the hymns to life. They made their vows and exchanged rings from White River Diamonds before sealing their marriage with a kiss.

FUN WEDDING RECEPTION AT REDHOUSE BARN

Bex and Dan arrived at Redhouse Barn to be greeted by their puppy! That’s just one of all the amazing things at Redhouse – they have a dog sitting service which means you can have photos with your favourite pooches. Following photos with their dog, Bex and Dan had some couples photos together.

After departing the amazing bus from Wyvern Omnibus, guests were welcomed to the gardens with beautiful music by Rich the Guitarist. The incredible food was created by Morgans Catering For You. I can honestly say the Redhouse Barn and Morgans teams were amazing throughout the day – nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond for the couple, their guests and suppliers.

SOPHISTICATED PASTEL WEDDING RECEPTION DECOR

Louise from Louise Rose Flowers supplied all the flowers for the reception as well as the bouquets and button holes. I loved the greenery surrounding the centrepieces as well as the fresh flowers on the cake. Bex said that Ben from Ben the Cake Man and Louise worked brilliantly together to help coordinate the flowers and the cake. The music quotes on the table number stationary added a really sophisticated, personal touch to the tables too.

OUTDOOR FIRST DANCE IN THE GARDENS OF REDHOUSE BARN

A positive outcome of the Covid 19 restrictions in July 2021 meant that Bex and Dan cut their cake and danced their first dance outside. In the UK this is rare due to such unpredictable weather but we love it!

The natural light is perfect. The guests created a circle around the couple which we love as we can capture their reactions. The beautiful wedding cake designed and made by Ben the Cake Man looked incredible as the sun set on the gardens. Depsite the Covid restrictions, House of Chords band did a brilliant job entertaining the guests and we loved the kids dancing on the grass!

EVENING FUN WITH A MIRROR PHOTOBOOTH AND SCALEXTRIC

Bex and Dan’s guests had such a fun evening! The mirror photobooth supplied by photomebooth and scalextric supplied by Ian Graham Pro Slot Racing made for some brilliant video footage with lots of giggles.
The Secret Garden wedding and events services really added to the ambience of the evening with the light up letters ‘R&D’ and the happily ever after sign.
